Goodhood and Sun Buddies Reveal Tri-Color "Greta" Sunglasses
The collaborative pair of sunnies are available now.
London-based retailer Goodhood and the Swedish eyewear brand Sun Buddies have come together on a one-piece collaboration, presenting sunglasses that are destined to become your next summer statement piece.
Taking on Sun Buddies’ “Greta” silhouette — arguably the imprint’s best-known and loved pair — Goodhood applies a contemporary twist to the now-classic style. It does this by combining colors across the frame, arms, and lenses, notably mixing “Lost Woods” with “Cuba Libra” and “California Poppy” for a preppy, almost hippy-ish colorway that’s simultaneously bold and thus modern.
Despite a trio of colors appearing on one pair of sunglasses, the washed-out shades all complement one another and therefore work to create a pop of color on the face, but not one that’s too loud. Dual branding on the inside of the temples appears, but anyone in the know will be able to spot these and identify this colorway as being one of Goodhood’s creativity.
Made by hand and entirely from acetate, the pair is equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses with 100% UV protection, seven bar hinges and two visible rivets on the temple, and comes packaged with a faux leather case and a slinding paperboard box.
