In celebration of FILA‘s 110th anniversary, the sportswear brand has partnered with Y/Project for its Spring/Summer 2022 collection.

Y/Project creative director Glenn Martens has taken the opportunity to redefine FILA through his own eyes, “I think every look has its own story, and it’s important to give the brand a diverse and diverse look.” Martens taps into the playfulness and versatility of FILA, introducing a new outlook for athleisure. FILA’s iconic tearaway track pants are reconstructed to emphasize the movement of the wearer. The collection also highlights the functionality and can be seen in the windbreaker details. Every nuance provides a refreshed design to classic pieces, reshaping the conventions of sportswear.

The pieces are reconceptualized from FILA’s archives and embrace the brand’s traditional red, blue and white colorway, offering varied silhouettes to reimagined pieces. The FILA branding is prominent throughout the collaboration, while Y/Project’s experimental characteristics shine through. The red tracksuit pants are cut with white FILA branding and buttons that allow one to dictate just how much logo to show off. Staying true to the house, the collaboration fiercely remixes the brand’s emblematic comfort-focused silhouette usually constructed with jersey and velvet materials.

The collection is now available online at YProject.FR and in select retailers worldwide.
