BLAHW Channels '70s Dub Music for FW22 "Traverse" Collection
Inspired by Adrian Sherwood and On-U Sound Records.
Tokyo’s BLAHW has just released its lookbook for the Fall/Winter 2022 season. Titled “Traverse,” this collection — led by designer Takashi Hiratsuka — was inspired by dub music and the works of Adrian Sherwood and his English record label knowns as On-U Sound Records from the late ’70s.
The collection predominately sees neutral tones mixed in with large and baggy cuts across twill pants and damask jacquard knit tops. A few standout pieces arrive in the form of a long corduroy coat with a large front pocket and a beefy-knit cardigan that replicates a high-end, thrift store find.
