Aside from releasing a hand-pump espresso maker, Wacaco has also introduced a more outdoors-friendly coffee companion in the form of the Pipamoka.

This travel mug/vacuum pressure coffee brewer uses the heat-insulating mug in conjunction with a micro filter and an innovative twist mechanism. Once the pod filter with coffee is inserted into the mag with hot water, the vacuum top is rotated off to create negative pressure which draws the water through the coffee.

The Pipamoka requires no paper filters and produces a smooth and rich cup of coffee. Those interested in the Wacaco Pipamoka can find it over at the brand’s web store for $49.90 USD.

In other design news, watch this Japanese woodcarver create household goods themed after Pokémon.
