Veja and Sea Shepherd Unite For Stealthy Collaboration
Highlighting the organisation’s work for marine conservation.
Veja has teamed up with non-profit marine conservation organization Sea Shepherd for a stealthy all-black take on the former’s newly-launched Dekkan silhouette.
Sea Shepherd — which last year teamed up with Artisans de Genève — uses direct-action to help protect whales, dolphins and marine wildlife, as well as having a fleet of ships on the front lines. Together with authorities, they combat illegal fishing and bring poachers to justice, shining a spotlight on those who think they can pillage and pollute the ocean with impunity.
Teaming up with Veja to help raise awareness of their cause, the duo have reimagined the Dekkan sneaker in an all-black colorway and added the Sea Shepherd logo at the heel. The upper is crafted with Alveomesh — a technical fabric made from 100% recycled polyester — and sits atop a midsole made up of 70% sugarcane.
The Veja x Sea Shepherd collaboration is available to buy now from the Veja webstore, retailing at £135 (approx. $180 USD).
