The legacy of Virgil Abloh carries on at the upcoming Sotheby’s auction.

The pair of Louis Vuitton LV Trainers up for grabs size 10.5 and is signed by the late designer. It was first presented during Abloh’s debut Spring/Summer 2019 show for Louis Vuitton. The sneaker sees Abloh’s signature penmanship as “Air Abloh” is seen written prominently on the sneakers.

This particular shoe is inspired by vintage basketball sneakers and comes in a dual orange and green tone. Crafted in monogram-embossed grained calf leather, the colorway also takes inspiration from the “Sunshine State” of Florida. The monogram details are seen along the upper and the tongue. The LV flower motif is monogrammed on the side panels of the shoe as well as the rubber outsoles. Additional LV branding is seen on the heel and the eyelets. The shoe comes with a letter of authentication as well as two polaroids of Virgil Abloh posing with the shoes.

At the time of reporting, the lot is at a current bid of $17,000 USD. The shoe was estimated to sell between $8,000 – $12,000 USD. Check out Sotheby’s for more information.
