Watch Robert Pattinson Explain His Earliest Love Triangle Using Aerith and Tifa from 'Final Fantasy VII' in 'The Batman' Interview
“I was in love with Aeris and Tifa.”
Now that The Batman press tour is well underway, Robert Pattinson along with his fellow cast members have been doing the global rounds, answering questions for fans. Sometimes, these questions can take a tangent and head into some pretty comical side stories, like this instance with the French show Clique.
Fans of Final Fantasy VII were more than excited when Pattinson brought up the 25-year-old video game to share his experiences with love triangles. Dropping knowledge on everyone — going as far as to differentiate the regional difference between Aeris and Aerith — Pattinson explained that he was torn between the two female characters and that he was in love with both. He also attributes the untimely circumstance of Aeris as the reason “every guy figures out what love is.” Continuing, he describes Tifa as “a sexy thief” in a short skirt, and Aeris as a “kind girl” who heals everyone to make the world a better place.
Bewildered by her co-star’s explanation, Zoë Kravitz responds with, “This is crazy, the one that’s gonna heal everything or the one in the short skirt? These are the options? Oh, my god, this is the problem with the world!” Check out the interview clip below.
