Official Images of the Nike SB Dunk High "New York Mets"
The Swoosh calls out the 7 train and the Big Apple on the interior side of the tongues.
With opening day of the MLB season approaching soon, Nike SB has taken the liberty of shouting a few pro baseball teams by fashioning special Dunk colorways for them. So far a Dunk Low for the Phillies, Dunk High for the San Francisco Giants and a Dunk High for the New York Mets have emerged, the latter of which has just been unveiled via official imagery.
The presentation of these kicks are designed to translate the Queens-based franchise’s away uniforms. Uppers are formed with a suede and canvas build that is mostly covered in a muted gray tone and comes fitted with blue Swooshes and tongue tabs as well as exposed orange stitchings and Nike SB branding. On the inside of the tongues, the shoes split between an MTA 7 train logo on the left shoe and an apple on the right side to mimic the team’s logo and nod to New York City. On the gum bottoms of the right shoe, the Nike SB design team places a “bubblegum” blotch for some extra baseball flair.
Check out official images of the shoes above and be on the lookout for select skate shops to drop these in the coming weeks.
