Czapek's Antarctique Frozen Star S Boasts a Dial Made from the Rarest Precious Metal on Earth
Priced at $82,000 USD.
Czapek has just released an Antarctique S — 38.5mm down from the original 40.5mm case size — with a dial made from the rarest precious metal on Earth.
Named the “Frozen Star,” the dial is made from crystalized osmium — the densest naturally occurring element. Gone is the trapezoidal Stairway to Eternity pattern, and in its place is a textured surface that references the icy void of an exoplanet.
This too is powered by Czapek’s self-winding Haute Horlogerie calibre SXH5 which sees a 60-hour power reserve, 193 parts, a 100% recycled platinum 950 rotor, and sandblasted black bridges. Limited to just 38 pieces, the Czapek Antarctique Frozen Star S retails for $82,000 USD and can be found now over at Czapek.
