Merrell 1TRL Updates Archive Classics for Latest Release
Channelling outdoors shoes from the late ’90s and early ’00s.
Merrell 1TRL has continued to look back into the archive with its latest release, adding three new styles to its ever-growing range of outdoors-influenced footwear. For the latest release, the brand has resurrected a trio of classic Merrell styles, each of which draws influence from the late ’90s and early ’00s.
The first new style is the Solo Luxe 2, a returning classic, which has been constructed with a rich suede upper and comfort-focused sole unit. The Solo Luxe 2 is due to arrive in a range of colorways including “Burnish,” “Brown” and “Chalk.” Another new silhouette is the Shoreline Luxe, which references the original amphibious water shoe that made its debut in the early ’00s. This hybrid trail silhouette is due to release in “Black,” “Whisper” and “Brindle.”
The final silhouette added to the new collection is the Moab 2 Decon Mid, a reminagination of one of Merrell’s best-loved silhouettes. Redesigned as a casual desert boot for every day use, the shoe is constructed from suede and mesh, and is designed to roll up for packability. This shoe comes in “Black,” “Camel” or “Olive,” and features 100% recycled lacing and webbing, and a recycled mesh lining.
The latest Merrell 1TRL collection — including the new silhouettes — is available via the brand’s web store and at select stockists.
In other footwear news, Salomon recently unveiled two new colorways of the XT-QUEST 2 ADVANCED silhouette.
