Adidas Gives the Archival Supernova Cushion 7 a Stealthy Black Makeover
Featuring adiPRENE and FORMOTION technology for added comfort.
adidas has a rich archive and much of its early 2000s footwear continues to inspire today’s releases, resulting in pairs such as the Supernova Cushion 7. Following on from the “Cloud White/Blue Rush/Semi Solar Green” colorway that was released last month, adidas now introduces a stealthier iteration in all black.
Like the original pair from the 2000s, the Supernova Cushion 7 features a retro running aesthetic punctuated by technical performance-focused materials such as perforated mesh on the upper and a tech-fitted sole unit, however, to bring it into 2022 adidas also constructs the upper with sustainable materials taken from production waste.
As touched upon, that sole unit is adiPRENE-enhanced which elevates the comfort levels, and FORMOTION appears in the heel to help you take more natural strides as you step, encouraging a better on-foot feeling when being used for running. Rounding out the classic touches are the serrated Three Stripes on the mid-panels and the adidas EQT logo on the heel.
