Watch Andrew Garfield in FX's True Crime Series 'Under the Banner of Heaven'
Based on Jon Krakauer’s 2003 nonfiction book of the same name.
FX has unveiled the first trailer of its upcoming true crime series Under the Banner of Heaven, which stars Oscar nominee Andrew Garfield.
The miniseries is based on Jon Krakauer’s 2003 nonfiction book of the same name and sees Garfield as Detective Jeb Pyre, a Mormon detective whose faith is shaken when his investigation of the grisly 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty, portrayed by Daisy Edgar-Jones, and her 15-month-old baby seemingly uncovers a relation to the Church.
Joining Garfield and Edgar-Jones in the main cast are Sam Worthington, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell and Billy Howle. Dustin Lance Black serves as screenwriter while David Mackenzie serves as director and co-executive producer alongside Black, Ozark’s Jason Bateman, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and more.
