AMI Paris and Puma Team Up For Pristine Slipstream Mids
Featuring suede overlays and co-branded heart logos.
Following the reveal of the AMI x Puma Spring/Summer 2022 collection, we now have a closer look at the collaborative Slipstream Mids arriving at HBX.
The Slipstream Mids take on the silhouette of basketball shoes from the ’90s with the latest pairs dressed in Pristine white canvas characterized by stitched-on suede overlays and perforated details at the toe. The street-ready sneakers also feature Puma’s signature Formstrips with stitching and gum outsoles as well as the co-branded hearts adorning the tongue.
Staying true to AMI’s name meaning “friend” and the core values of PUMA revolving around community and family, the collaboration aims to convey the message of surrounding oneself with loved ones. “I wanted this collection very easy in the way that for me it’s like a cola you know it’s like a croissant. You go, you see it’s nice, and you want to wear it right away. It’s a nice collaboration with two brands people love,” adds AMI founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi.
