Jordan Brand to Give the Air Jordan 2 "Chicago" a Retro Release
A launch is expected to arrive during the 2022 holiday season.

Jordan Brand tends to save its hot ticket launches for the holiday season, and the brand continues to generate a substantial amount of excitement over its release calendar in the latter half of 2022 with teasers of what’s to come. It was recently announced that the famed Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago” is making a glorious return later this year, and now we’re learning that the Air Jordan 2 “Chicago” will be joining its ranks. Given that the Air Jordan 2 will be a focal point for the imprint this year with collaborations with Union LA, J Balvin and more, it only makes sense that Jordan also brings back one of its OG makeups.
Early reports say that the forthcoming iteration will be designed with all of its original details to imitate its 1986 aesthetic. Higher cut uppers are predominantly done up in white and can come styled with black trimming across the laces, outlines of the mid-foot overlays, interior lining and the midsoles. “Varsity Red” accents also get ushered in via the wings logos on the tongues and the Nike-branded heel molds to overtly nod to his former Chicago Bulls team colors.

In case you missed it, Maison Château Rouge has an Air Jordan 2 collaboration on the way.
