J Balvin Shares First Look at His Glow-In-the-Dark Air Jordan 2 Collaboration
The reggaeton artist also remixes the silhouette with padded uppers.

Jordan Brand is about to go full force with its Air Jordan 2 as more collaborations are starting to pop up out of the woodworks. Following in the footsteps of Virgil Abloh and his Off-White™ imprint and Union LA comes Latino artist J Balvin whom has just provided a first glimpse at his own rendition. The reggaeton icon first kicked off his partnership with Jordan Brand in 2020 by completely revamping the Air Jordan 1 High with a multi-colored aesthetic and playful graphics that gave off a vibrating effect. For this AJ 2 installment, Balvin elects to enhance various parts of the shoe with glow-in-the-dark capabilities.
Based off of the teaser that he posted to IG, we do know that the uppers of the shoes are prepared with padded collars and mid-foot panels, a drastic difference from the silhouette’s original flat, leather base layers. The parts of the shoe that glow-in-the-dark are the full outsoles as well as the ball-and-wings insignias that are planted onto the tongues.
It’s still unclear as when the Colombian crooner will be dropping these, but you can likely anticipate a global launch to go down via SNKRS and other shops in 2022.
