Fans of Square Enix‘s 2017 hit RPG NieR: Automata will be delighted to learn that the game is now being adapted into an anime series.

The video game publisher will be producing the TV series along with Aniplex, the studio responsible for other massive hits such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Sword Art Online. According to Square Enix, the show will largely follow the story of the original game.

“The stage is a distant future in which human beings are routing to the moon in front of the overwhelming force of ‘machine life forms’ that aliens unleash,” reads a blog post from the company. “The ‘2B’ belonging to the newly organized android unit ‘YoRHa’ will put herself into a fierce battle to recapture the Earth.”

Unfortunately, other details remain scarce at the moment and there’s no release date yet for the anime adaptation, so fans of the games should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.

In other entertainment news, Marvel’s Netflix shows will soon be coming to Disney+.
