Paxslim Re-Releases Fluorescent Video "Colors"
The Switzerland-based artist is creating some of the scene’s best visuals.
Paxslim, the buzzed-about, Swiss-based artist, has re-released a magnetic visual for his song “Colors.” Following up the release of his debut EP “H.G.P,” the Nigerian-born artist now has more eyes on him and is re-directing those pupils to the Fijitrvpboi-produced track, originally released back in September. Shot alternating grainy VHS film and color-heavy 4K, each scene is captivating and telling of Paxslim and his friends, as they move flossy and militant, around his small city of Thurgau.
Paxslim wants to make one thing clear though, rapping, “I look up to the sky, I see colors, yeah/ We might look the same but we ain’t brothers, yeah./ I tell em’ move out the way, move out the way, please move out the way!” The kind of declarative statement that sets the versatile artist apart, amidst a budding rap scene in Switzerland, as one of the only rappers who spits in American English, experimenting with flows similar to those of regional rappers or underground-Soundcloud artists here.
