At the beginning of the year, McDonald’s Japan announced that it would continue to offer only small-sized french fries due to a global supply issue. Now, it appears that McDonald’s has figured out a way to combat the potato shortage that has affected the nation and is announcing that it is placing regular to large-sized fries back on the menu.

According to Japan Times, medium and large-sized fries are coming back to 2,900 McDonald’s restaurants globally after the fast-food chain has been able to secure a new transportation route from the Eastern coast of North America to Japan. Fans of the Golden Arches’ iconic fries will be pleased to know that starting this week, McDonald’s lovers will be able to enjoy their regular fries once again.

As the pandemic continues, it is unsure if the restaurant chain’s potato supplies will remain affected down the line. But for now, it seems that McDonald’s has solidified a solution that will please Japanese fans for the time being.
