Official Images of the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low "Reed" is Unveiled
The three-way collab is guided by neutral leathers and muted accents.
Chitose Abe has undoubtedly cemented herself as one of the most innovative footwear designers of this generation through her sacai x Nike projects, and 2022 is only going to be replete with more heavy-hitting iterations from her. Last December, her fashion label hosted an exclusive release of the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low collaborations, and the “Reed” colorway has now surfaced by way of official imagery.
The presentation of this pair features a blend of brighter neutral tones and colorful accents. Leading the way are the smooth brown leathers that makes up the side paneling and exterior tongues along with the crisp white insoles and overlays that attach to the heels. Double stacked Swooshes are prepared with beige suede in the background and a leather check that is doused with darker teal. Other elements to point out include the pink and baby blue overlays that neighbor the throat as well as the bold red accents that peek out through the secondary laces and interior tongues. “XX” branding is found on the tongues, insoles and forefoot of the midsoles to indicate the Brooklyn-based artist’s contributions to the piece. Additionally, the shoes come housed in a special black box that has KAWS and sacai branding on the outside.
