Bad Bunny's adidas Originals Forum PWR Is an Invitation to Play a Game of "Catch and Throw"
Complete with “Benito” branding and doubled-up components all around.
Bad Bunny and adidas Originals are back with their fourth collaborative sneaker, this time around debuting a new silhouette that combines the Forum and Powerphase that’s aptly titled the Forum PWR. This collaborative pair wears the name “Catch and Throw,” given to the sneaker by Bad Bunny as a nod to childhood games and his interpretation of the Forum, informed by his “senses” and “an exploration of the world surrounding him.”
The Forum PWR features a whole host of touches that are unique and personal to Bad Bunny. For example, the lateral mid-panel wears the name “Benito,” Bad Bunny’s real name, in place of typical adidas Originals branding, while the eye motif that has frequented his past collaborations appears on the tongue as expected.
However, there’s more to this pair than what initially meets the eye. For this design, multiple elements have been doubled-up: from the tongue to the removable Trefoil-embossed heel patch, the Forum PWR is Bad Bunny’s most deconstructed pair to date. Elsewhere, we find blue rubber working with the heel alongside a Powerphase sole unit in light brown, a second tongue wearing the adidas Trefoil logo, insoles branded with adidas and Bad Bunny logos, and a second heel clip sitting inside the shoe that’s finished with a neon green trim.
Bad Bunny’s adidas Originals Forum PWR “Catch and Throw” can be seen above and is set to release worldwide on February 9, 2022, via adidas Confirmed, on adidas‘ website, and at select retailers, coinciding with the launch of adidas Confirmed Puerto Rico. Pricing is yet to be announced. You can also cop the kicks via GOAT right now.
