Ulysse Nardin Revisits Ultra Complicated Astronomical Watch With $73,000 USD Blast Moonstruck
The watch boasts eight complications and keeps track of the Sun and Moon.

Ulysse Nardin has selected the lunar new year to drop the Blast Moonstruck, an “ultra-design” version of one of its most complicated astronomical watches.
The 45mm black ceramic and DLC-treated titanium watch includes worldtime, dual time, date, moonphase, days of the lunar month, tidal co-efficients and positions of both the sun and moon in relation to the Earth, which is represented by a domed hemisphere as seen from the North Pole rising above the sapphire crystal.
The watch takes it inspiration from one of Ulysse Nardin’s most famous works, the Trilogy of Time watches created in the 1980s by master watchmaker, Ludwig Oechslin.
The new design aims to present the information in the most simple manner possible and, as such, uses a central geocentric display on the dial, putting the wearer at the centre of their universe.
The brand has ensured that adjusting so many complications remains simple too, with everything set using the crown and two pushers on the right hand side of the case. Even so, Ulysse Nardin is looking to minimise the amount of adjustment needed and will supply each watch with a Swiss Kubik watch winder to keep it running.
The Blast Moonstruck is out now via Ulysse Nardin and its retailers, priced $73,900 USD.
