Emmy-winning drama series Euphoria will return for a third season, HBO has confirmed. The news arrives halfway through the second season of the hit show created by Sam Levinson.

The second season, Zendaya reprises her role as Rue, a high school student struggling with a recent relapse and the difficulties of navigating her relationship with Hunter Schafer’s Jules. Season one actors appearing alongside Zendaya and Schafer include Nika King, Eric Dane, Angus Cloud, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Storm Reid and Austin Abrams.

Musician Dominic Fike made his acting debut in season two of Euphoria, portraying the independent Elliot.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season two to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart,” said Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming. “We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into season three.”

According to HBO, the first episode of Euphoria’s second season has garnered 14 million viewers across all platforms since its premiere on January 9.

In other entertainment news, Steve-O and Chris Pontius are being sued over a jet ski stunt that supposedly left a man injured.
