Bottega Veneta Decks Its Puddle Slingback Sandal in Cozy Shearling
Home slippers, but make it Bottega.
With Matthieu Blazy at the helm of Bottega Veneta, the fashion industry waits for what’s to come following the colossal rebranding Daniel Lee brought along with his must-have statement pieces. To keep its fans happy, Bottega Veneta has treated us to another take on its now-iconic Puddle silhouette, equipping the slingback sandals with a plush layer of shearling.
Available in “Sea Salt” or “Black,” the one-piece rubber sandal appears in its typical marshmallowy, cushy form, free of branding and any details. Instead, the entire Puddle range has celebrated a signature identifiable design, known for smooth lines and curves working the toe and side.
For the slingback sandal, Bottega Veneta cuts out the rear and adds a strap, securing the pair to the foot — unlike a mule, for example. Inside, you’ll find lashings of shearling, served up in all its thickness to swaddle your feet in warmth. As a result, these are perfect as indoor slippers, or they can be worn with socks for a cozy winter walking shoe.
Take a closer look at Bottega Veneta’s Puddle Slingback Sandal above, and purchase the pairs from Bottega Veneta’s store or online for £620 GBP (approximately $842 USD).
