A new collaboration between Hudson and Brandon Williams applies the celebrity consultant’s tailor-focused approach to contemporary styling to the brand’s latest women’s and menswear denim collection.
For nearly a decade, Brandon Williams has worked as a professional clothier and brand consultant, curating celebrity closets with a polished air of individuality. Williams has worked with professional athletes like Utah Jazz’s Mike Conley and New York Knicks’ forward-center Julius Randle. Hudson joins in vision with Williams on its newest denim collection, a monochromatic lineup of treated denim, jackets and cotton cardigans.
Hudson x Brandon William fuses Williams’ refined eye for tailored basics with Hudson’s all-American silhouettes. Spring 2022 has seen a handful of monochrome-themed collections, and Hudson x Brandon William arrives right on time with understated, polished separates ideal for seasonal layering. Through a greyscale color scheme, the collection strikes a visual balance between minimalism and sartorial craftsmanship, including ready-to-wear closet staples like T-shirts, button-down cardigans, neutral-toned outerwear and Hudson’s signature kick flare, cargo and straight leg cuts. Dansby is the collection’s black leather pant, a slim leg cut perfect for paring back to cotton basics.
The button-down cardigans feature a deep V-neck and are punctuated with a Hudson x Brandon William branded “8/2” cloth patch, commemorating the collection’s birthplace in the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. “8” stands for the eighth letter in the alphabet, “H” for Hudson, and “2” represents the letter “B,” for Brandon. The off-white denim set showcases Hudson’s bespoke approach to denim treatment: the jacket is textural and weathered, accented by a softly frayed collar and hem.
Hudson x Brandon Williams uniquely positions Hudson as an incubator of contemporary basics, with Williams reveling in the joy of curation, layering wardrobe essentials into effortless, drippy fits.
