Nike Attaches a Voodoo Doll to Its Classic Blazer Mid '77
The figure is dressed with a patchwork outfit and spells out “Nike.”
Despite the fact the celebrations of Valentine’s Day are in the rearview mirror, Nike is still holding onto the essence of the lover’s holiday with unveils of festive footwear. The latest to surface is this Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 “Voodoo Doll” which comes prepared with various design features that speak to the superstitious object.
Attached to the lateral side’s collars are a duo of creamy buttons, both of which can be used to fasten the voodoo doll figure that comes packaged with the pair. The figure is done up with a puffy patchwork-inspired look and playfully spells out “Nike” with black, teal and rustic orange lettering. The feet are also styled with orange Swooshes for more flair. Throughout the canvas uppers, you’ll find exposed stitchings that show face across the lateral panel which relates back to the shoe’s theme. Additionally, the heels have discarded the traditional Nike branding and instead have “Love” embroidered in against a houndstooth-patterned backdrop. Extra details include that of the white suede Swooshes and gum bottoms.
Expect Nike to likely drop these in the coming weeks via its website and select retailers.
