Adidas Drops Ocean-Themed Parley UltraBOOST 5.0 DNA
Decked in “White/Silver/Mint.”
There are many iconic silhouettes in adidas‘ wheelhouse, but none have been more impactful to streetwear culture as the UltraBOOST. Following on from the Climacool-equipped iteration we saw earlier this week, the Three Stripes is back with yet another alternative take, this time around teaming up with Parley for the Oceans on the UltraBOOST 5.0 DNA.
By working with Parley, adidas has reduced the pair’s environmental impact by using a high-performance Primeknit yarn comprised of 50% recycled polyester and 50% Parley Ocean Plastic. The oceanic theme is continued with its colorway, “White/Silver/Mint,” while hits of coral-orange appear on the BOOST midsole, heel clip, collar, toe box, and interior.
The heel cage is made from sustainably-sourced plastic and is adorned with the UltraBOOST logo, while more plastic has been used for the lace cage where you’ll find the Three Stripes in silver alongside bright blue, aka “Mint,” laces. Rounding out the pair is the full-length BOOST midsole that incorporates Torsion stability inside, and the Continental rubber outsole that ensures lasting durability.
Take a look at the adidas x Parley UltraBOOST 5.0 DNA in “White/Silver/Mint” above, and purchase it now from Aphrodite1994 for $215.48 USD.
In other news, Balenciaga has dropped a carbon fiber-clad Ultra Flat Mule.
