DC Comics fans are in for a massive shakeup after James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over as the new leadership at Warner Bros. for DC content.

Earlier, reports of DC and Warner Bros. canceling Patty JenkinsWonder Woman 3 were confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. The publication has also indicated that Gunn and Safran are in the final stages of preparing to reveal their multiyear plans for DC to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. The plan, which is currently still in flux, is slated to serve as a blueprint for how DC should be moving forward, while also introducing a new vision for the franchise.

Sources have revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures co-chairs and co-CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, broke the news to the filmmaker, telling Jenkins that her project would no longer fit the new unfolding plans. Gal Gadot was on track to make $20 million USD for Wonder Woman 3, while Jenkin would have received $12 million USD. With the news of Wonder Woman, many have speculated an end to filmmaker Zack Snyder‘s vision, also known as the Snyderverse, within the DC world. His Justice League appears to disband, signalling uncertainty for Henry Cavill for Man of Steel 2 and perhaps an Aquaman no longer fronted by Jason Momoa.

No official plans have bee revealed just yet, however Gunn did take to Twitter to urge fans to be patient, despite knowing that “we are not going to make every single person happy.” Take a look at his tweets below.

In other entertainment news, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery combined streaming service set to be named “Max.”
