Salomon’s New RX Snug Sneaker Is All About Winter Recovery
Available in black and green colorways for approximately $110 USD each.
Technical outerwear and footwear brand, Salomon has unveiled two new colorways of its RX Snug, and the sneaker is designed as a slip-on silhouette that merges warmth and comfort into a winter-recovery shoe.
Coming in green and black colorways, the RX Snug is designed with an asymmetrical mix of softshell and ripstop for protection, while it is also packed with a fleece lining and knitted collar. Furthermore, a lightweight EVA midsole is used to keep the weight off the wearer’s feet and to give the bottom of the foot a cushioned and relaxed feel — and what’s more, is the EVA midsole is also packed with high energy return to provide respite and recovery for tired feet.
The outsole features Contagrip technology — which is a grippy surface that latches onto wet and slippery terrains. Additionally, woven fabrics are used across the upper along with heavy-set reinforcement — which is made from nylon — to resist tearing, ripping, and abrasion.
Saloman has then continued to add knitted fabrications across the RX Snug’s upper; the stretchy and adaptive fabric is designed to mold to the foot while also adding an element of breathability and freedom of movement. Rounding things off, a molded sock liner has been used to contour the foot and add extra cushioning.
