Adding to his ongoing Dragon Ball Z-inspired concept series, custom sneaker designer, Andrew Chiou, has now returned with another creation centered around Vegeta. Once again placing his attention on the popular Nike Dunk Low, the sneaker has been reimagined to capture the aesthetic of the prince of the fallen Saiyan race.

Debuting in the series as the main antagonist of the “Vegeta Saga,” the character became somewhat of an anti-heroic tritagonist and evolved into a secondary protagonist following the events of the “Majin Buu Saga.”

Andrew Chiou’s Nike Dunk Low Vegeta concept features a faded blue base detailed with white tones to match the initial animated appearance of the villain-turned-Z Fighter. Further detailing includes panels and Swooshes that reflect the design of the traditional Saiyan armor complete with a torso plate, jumpsuit, white gloves, and boots. Aside from the usual tongue tags, “NIKE” embroidery at the rear, and printed insoles, the midfoot Swooshes are marked with line details drawn from the torso plate of the Saiyan armor. Finishing up the design of the shoe are black sockliners, light brown laces, weathered off white tone midsoles, and contrasting dark blue rubber outsoles.
