Instagram Launches 2022 Recap Reels Templates
Featuring narration from Bad Bunny, DJ Khaled and more.
Instagram is celebrating the end of 2022 with an interactive way for users to highlight their favorite moments of the year. The app has debuted a series of Reels templates narrated by some of users’ favorite celebrities.
Teaming up with Bad Bunny, DJ Khaled, rapper Badshah and Priah Ferguson from Stranger Things, users can choose their preferred voiceover and compile a Reels of standout moments in the form of photos and videos. After picking their template and celebrity narrator, users will manually select photos and videos from the past year.
“I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, we have to start worrying less, life goes by too fast, enjoy each moment. Just like this year, I’ll have it in my heart por siempre,” Bad Bunny said in his recap, translated from Spanish. “I’m grateful for all the amazing moments I was able to enjoy and all the people who formed part of it. Instagram, we are ready for 2023!”

Once uploaded, the recap will live on the user’s profile under the Reels tab. Everyone will receive a prompt to create a 2022 recap Reels or they can access the templates on the Reels browser or on each narrator’s individual profile.
Templates will be available from now until several weeks into 2023 in the English, Spanish and Hindi languages.
