WTAPS Reignites Its Partnership With Vault by Vans for a New Footwear and Apparel Collection
Marking the two brand’s 15th collaborative effort.

The collaborations realm is a space that Vault by Vans —a premium sub-label under the Vans umbrella — often thrives in. Every year, it will participate in a substantial amount of joint ventures, and one of its most consistent partners is WTAPS. After linking up with the Anaheim skate imprint earlier in 2022, the streetwear label — founded by Tetsu Nishiyama — is now embarking its 15th collaborative effort with VF Corporation entity.
The new range is split up into two launches and includes a mix of sneakers, apparel and accessories. On the footwear side, WTAPS has lent its touch to seven models silhouettes: the OG Chukka LX, the OG Era LX, the OG Half Cab LX, Hi-Country & Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot, the Standard Snow MTE and the Coast CC NS LX. Each take is outfitted with the streetwear label’s signature utilitarian sensibilities and zeroes in on a drab blend of tonal gray and black hues. The lifestyle-focused offerings (OG Chukka LX, the OG Era LX and OG Half Cab LX) will be implemented in the first launch while the snow-focused styles (Hi-Country & Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot, the Standard Snow MTE and the Coast CC NS LX) will be tossed into the second release.
To accompany the kicks, both parties have joined forces on collaborative clothing and accessories. The winter-appropriate pieces include a WTAPS MTE Jacket that is engineered with fully taped DWR-coated seams, welted pockets and bungee adjustments on the hood and visor, while the pants feature elastic waistbands for an adjustable fit. Graphic tees, beanies, socks and a helmet bag is also found in the capsule.
Drop one will release on November 5 via WTAPS and select Vault by Vans retailers while a follow-up release will go down with Vans on November 29. The second batch will drop through WTAPS and select Vault by Vans retailers on November 19 while the Vans drop will occur on December 16.
In other news, NEIGHBORHOOD and Vans recently tag-teamed for an Era 95 DX and Old Skool 36 DX capsule.
