Published by V1 Gallery and At Last Books.
Danish photographer Peter Funch has released a new book that chronicles the past 25 years of his expansive archives.
Published by V1 Gallery and At Last Books, When You Invent the Ship, You Also Invent the Shipwreck juxtaposes an array of images captured from different mediums and locations around the world. Funch, who once documented the same corner of New York City for nine years, conflates past, present and future through an infinite repository of disparate images that take the viewer on a visual odyssey across time and space.
The book is in its first edition and is limited to just 600 copies. Spanning 192 pages, When You Invent the Ship, You Also Invent the Shipwreck is printed entirely on deadstock paper from Narayana Press and is available to purchase in three alternate covers for $34 USD.
