NTN Unveils Its Inaugural Summer 2023 Collection
Exploring functionality and timeless design.
Founded by designer Nobuaki Takahashi, an integral part of the design team at sacai, NTN is an emerging Japanese label centered around functionality and timeless design. Drawing from an array of references, the label reinterprets established silhouettes under the name NTN, Nobuaki Takahashi’s initials and an additional “N” that represents his desire to create products of permanence.
Dubbed “BETA000,” the Summer 2023 collection explores the theme of “here to there” which results in an aesthetic outlook of convertibility and dynamic wares. A mix of natural and artificial tones evokes images of soil, forests, and sunlight under a cohesive palette. Arriving in a unisex mix of men’s and women’s wear, the seasonal range is marked by functional details, structure, and material constructions that hold strong in any environment while remaining subtle and true to established styling.
