The New Balance 1906R Gets Readied in Desert Tan Cordura Fabric
Sporting a tonal design equipped with protective underlays.

New Balance has been pushing its 1906R model to extraordinary heights, recently commissioning Japan’s atmos for its own rendition, followed by Taiwanese retailer INVINCIBLE’s three-way collaboration with N.HOOLYWOOD. Now, the footwear titan returns to its in-house line for a fresh take on the vintage silhouette.
In partnership with Cordura — the fabric manufacturer targeting durability and increased performance through resistant production — the duo present the newest entry to the 1906R index. The forthcoming release sports a tan Cordura fabric base layer, sitting beneath linear leather overlays that wrap around the upper. Tonal heel guards deliver protection while on the move alongside medial “N” logos fashioned with grey perimeters. Model-specific branding hits the heel counters beside black Cordura banners, adding a touch of contrast. Further New Balance branding is faintly debossed onto leather tongue tags, while NERGY midsoles and gum outsoles complete the look.
The pair has yet to receive a release date, but expect them to drop later this year via New Balance and select retailers for $150 USD.
