Here’s What We Know About Google’s New Pixel 7
From the Pixel 7 Pro to the Pixel Watch.
Earlier this year, it was speculated that Google would be unleashing a new wave of product offerings – just in time for the holidays. And with its official announcement event held in Brooklyn last week, all suspicions were laid to rest.
The new Pixel 7 smartphone measures 6.3 inches (with a 1,080 x 2,400 screen resolution) and has a front-facing and standard back camera with megapixel lenses. Facial identification and fingerprint sensor are available for unlocking the device, while a new “Tensor G2” chip has been installed for processing.
The “Pro” phone option also contains the new “Tensor G2” chip, possessing 12.5 megapixels and 10x zoom capability. Where the new Pixel Watch is concerned, it will be made available in three different colorways – gold, black and silver – with stainless steel finishing, heart rate tracking, Fitbit capability and LTE adaptability.
With an October 14 release date, pre-orders are being taken for the new Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch; the much-hyped Pixel Tablet will release in 2023.
Item prices range from $349 USD for the watch and $599 USD for the phone.
