G.H. Mumm recently launched Mark Your Own Journey in collaboration with Award-Winning American Chef Kwame Onwuachi. Onwuachi and G.H. Mumm hosted a high-energy dinner and cocktail hour at New York City’s Little Flatiron Building, a unique venue overlooking the Meatpacking District, to celebrate the occasion. Media and influencer attendees of the memorable event enjoyed specially-made G.H. Mumm cocktails, followed by a celebratory menu curated by Kwame Onwuachi to pair with the exceptional champagne.
Before dinner commenced, G.H. Mumm Brand Manager Finian Sedgwick welcomed guests, providing more background on G.H. Mumm’s heritage, the tradition of celebrating daring achievers, and the champagne’s signature Pinot Noir grape that lends to its bold taste. Chef Kwame Onwuachi toasted guests shortly thereafter, explaining why he is proud to partner with such a spirited and pioneering brand. Before each exceptional dish was served, Onwuachi explained the intricate process behind the inspiration for his menu pairing. Kwame prepared a fresh Kampachi Escovitch Crudo for the first course, and for the main course, a roasted and confit Chicken Geerah paired with G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon, the House’s signature blend. Kwame’s final pairing is the ever-indulgent Rainbow Cookie Panna Cotta dessert to compliment the sweetness of the G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé.
After dinner concluded, the evening went from the dinner table to the dance floor, where DJ Mick Batyske (@mick) played an eclectic mix of music for the celebration.
