N.HOOLYWOOD, INVINCIBLE and New Balance Collide for GORE-TEX-Infused 2002R
Dubbed “Blue Moon,” the trio reunites to honor INVINCIBLE’s 15-year anniversary.
Acting as a follow-up to the trio’s 1906R collaboration encrusted with a diverse material range, New Balance teams up with N.HOOLYWOOD and INVINCIBLE once again to celebrate the latter’s 15th anniversary. The three-way partnership now sets its sights on the 2002R model, giving it a GORE-TEX build and fuzzy finish.
Dubbed “Blue Moon,” the name nods to the uncommon celestial event that occurs every 2-3 years and symbolizes the threesome’s notable alliance. Setting a distinct touch on the silhouette for the first time in two years, the 2002R now obtains an official reveal following images seen earlier this summer.
New Balance’s lifestyle sneaker is decked out in various textural notes with navy blue tones found at every turn. The deepest variation hits the mudguards and ankle collars with resistant mesh, while supple suede is set atop and runs through the mudguards, into the medials overlays, and across the rears accompanied by reflective leather trimmings.
Shaggy suede adds an unmissable touch and hits the quarter panels, heel counters, and back tabs with a softer blue tint. The design is leveraged by a GORE-TEX assembly that enhances the sneaker with a waterproof coating for daily protection against unpredictable conditions, signaled through branded markings at the tips and ankles. The model number is embroidered on the interior-facing mudguards, while the tongues boast dissimilar motifs. Three-way brand graphics are stamped on the insoles delivered alongside four lace options, completing the offering with dual-colored NERGY sole units fitted with ABZORB technology.
The collaborative sneaker arrives alongside a four-piece clothing collection, which includes an anorak jacket, crewneck, T-shirt, and trackpant mutually fashioned in grey and navy hues with embroidered hits.
The N.HOOLYWOOD x INVINCIBLE x New Balance 2002R “Blue Moon” is set to drop on November 3 in Japan at N. HOOLYWOOD retail locations, November 5 at INVINCIBLE stores and overseas through a raffle system held on the INVINCIBLE website. The lottery draw is now open and will run until November 2, closing at 12:00 a.m. EST.
