Parisan watch modder seconde/seconde/ has turned his attention to Bamford London’s GMT for a 50-piece limited edition.

The 40mm stainless steel seconde/seconde/ edition Bamford London ‘Bad Form’ GMT, sees Bamford’s name rearranged as the anagram ‘Bad Form’, the watch designer revealed to Hypebeast, in a swipe at his online detractors.

seconde/seconde/ – aka Romaric André – is best known for replacing the seconds hand of vintage watches with satirical graphics based on the name of the watch.

Bamford and André connected in 2020, with the latter then appearing as a guest on the former’s ‘GB Talks’ podcast before work began on the watch. André’s contribution on the dial reveals the swapped letters with a red arrow and sees the seconds hand replaced with a defiant v-sign graphic.

“And there was no better symbolism for this ‘English bad form’ than this typical ‘up yours’ hand sign popularised (consciously or not) by Churchill,” says André. “So all that concept blending Englishness and disrespect made sense to me.”

“Then, on a meta level, I considered it quite interesting and ironical to become the vandaliser of someone (George himself) that made himself famous by vandalising/customising too. Live by the sword, die by the sword they say.”

Powered by a Sellita SW330-2 automatic and secured on a British racing green cordura strap, the seconde/seconde/ edition Bamford London ‘Bad Form’ GMT is limited to 50 pieces and is available to buy via Bamford London at 9AM on October 3, priced £1,600 GBP (approximately $1,838 USD).

Elsewhere in watches, Baltic and A Collected Man pay tribute to mid-century dress watches with new limited edition.
