‘Apex Legends Eclipse’ Trailer Teases Legend Catalyst’s Special Abilities
The Legend makes her debut in season 15 of the game on November 1.
Apex Legends has shared a new trailer for season 15, Eclipse, that foreshadows the debut of the newest Legend named Catalyst. A lore trailer released earlier this week gave players an idea of Catalyst’s unique abilities, including a mysterious black liquid called Ferrofluid that she hauls in tanks carried on her back.
Ferrofluid blocks Seer’s powerful scanning abilities, setting the two Legends up for a clash. Octane, meanwhile, can’t move through Ferrofluid and it can’t be pierced by weapons or bullets.
The trailer briefly delves into Catalyst’s backstory, hailing from Cleo, a moon of Boreas. Despite Catalyst’s and her allies’ efforts to save Cleo, corporation Hammond Robotics deemed it a map for the Apex Games. Catalyst, however, remains fiercely protective of her homeland.
Apex Legends Eclipse launches on November 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Origin and Steam.
