RHUDE’s FW22 Collection Exudes Contemporary Americana
Inspired by the 80’s power suit.
With the recent appointment of Rhuigi Villaseñor as Bally’s new creative director, the RHUDE founder is continuing to captivate the fashion world and his new Fall/Winter 2022 collection is no exception. Titled “Bull Market,” RHUDE’s latest collection offers an elevated and contemporary take on luxury Americana.
Inspired by the 80’s power suit donned by Wall Street stockbrokers and figures like Wall Street character Gordon Gekko, the collection presents a fusion of modern tailoring and dynamic streetwear. “I was thinking about the modern Wall Street, young investors, kids being aware of their finances,” said Villaseñor. Collection suits feature classic navy, brown and black pinstriped designs and were co-developed by Los Angeles-based tailor Denis Frison. Suited ensembles are complemented by cropped puffer and leather bomber jackets.
Outerwear is another strong point of the collection with wool overcoats ranging from bold merlot and tangerine to a fluffy brown floor-length offering. Elsewhere in the collection is a range of updated streetwear garments like striped track pants, casual jackets and printed shirts. For a collection highlight, Villaseñor furthers the brand’s race motif with leather moto suits washed in black, butterscotch, tangerine, beige and deep red. Rounding out the collection is a range of accessories including extra-long logo scarves, bags, hats and more.
