New Balance is expanding its popular 2002r silhouette with four vibrant new colors.

With a first look unveiled by The Drop Date, the upcoming lineup sees the sneaker tossed in maroon, green, French blue, forest green and taupe. The silhouette’s suede mesh upper construction remains consistent with complimentary 2002r detailing and N-ERGY gel in the heel for an extra cushion. Finishing off the new editions is the New Balance “N” logo in gray, beige midsoles and a selection of outsoles coming in gray, black and dusty pink.
Additionally, it has been reported that New Balance is venturing into the metaverse following filing for trademarks. As reported by trademark attorney Josh Gerben, the sportswear company filed for three trademarks on January 13, 2021, which would allow the brand to produce goods for the rapidly growing virtual world.
