Contemporary golf apparel label MARK & LONA showcased its latest Spring/Summer 2022 wares recently, with the prestigious HYPEGOLF Japan Invitational event as its backdrop.

The brand, synonymous for presenting golf wear in a more modern approach, has themed its latest collection around the concept of “time travel;” as the pandemic inched forward in its first eight weeks, the digitization of our world has seemingly advanced what seems more like five years. This mentality helped to shape MARK & LONA’s collection around an aesthetic of a time shift. Coordinated looks matched around the brand’s insignia – an original skull pattern – are thus stylized with vibrancy and a high-impact vision, with a mix of materials and garments suited for both on-and off-the-course settings.

Tracksuits, sweats, lightweight tops and tights give the collection a well-rounded seasonal approach towards layering. For the track jacket and pants pairing, a two-way stretch jacquard material was applied for ultimate comfort and flexibility, while staple tops arrive in a tie-dye gradient to evoke a “space-time distortion.” Pullover light jackets and sweaters – in collaboration with DC Comics – provide warmth and wearability for night time environments, alongside convertible pants can change to shorts should the temperature call for it. MARK & LONA also presented its ALARM collection that consists of a half-zip jacket with detachable sleeves and a knit for women, both of which convey the message of “sounding the alarm.”

Photographed by Japanese photographer Rk, the MARK & LONA SS22 offerings were shot at the HYPEGOLF Japan Invitational event, which took place on December 6 at the illustrious Eagle Point Golf Club in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Check out the photos above and keep an eye for further releases from MARK & LONA.
