Lemaire FW22 Presents a Sophisticated Take On Functional Apparel
The co-ed collection comments on the ideals of traveling to an imaginary destination.
Designer-duo Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran have once again personified the Parisian elegance in Lemaire‘s latest co-ed collection. Fall/Winter 2022 features multi-purpose and loose tailoring, continuing the brand’s simplicity and movement-based ethos. Pieces from this season uphold the brand’s casual utilitarian motif, focusing on the elevated effortlessness of its outwear.
Lemaire continues to expand its staple offering with oversized trenches, blazers and leather bomber jackets. Softly tailored outwear inform a black overcoat featuring a white lapel and lining, a tobacco trench and a minimal overcoat that is fit for formal occasions or as an addition to a day-to-day ensemble. The slouchy tailoring is offset by the structured box cut while the fluidity is of the movement gives the long-length trenches and straight-leg trousers added visual depth. In collaboration with Frédérique Pelletier, Lemaire spotlights a psychedelia-inspired print with its red marbled-blouse, emphasizing the brand’s discreet luxury ethos.
Set against an outdoor backdrop, the designers hoped to transport showgoers to an Impressionistic landscape, commenting on the nomadic lifestyle of the Lemaire individual.
