Fumito Ganryu's "HOMEOSTASIS" FW22 Promotes an Adaptive Nature
The Japanese label progresses its design sensibility.
Back with its Fall/Winter 2022 collection, eponymous Japanese label Fumito Ganryu looked to promote an adaptive nature. Sharing progress in the designer’s aesthetic sensibility, the seasonal range, dubbed “HOMEOSTASIS” explores the product of the meeting between digital and real.
“In transitional times, even with unclear and blurred circumstances there lies a flexible sensibility to adapt even in unclear and unstable situations brought about by external factors there lies tenacious mind that cannot be swayed. Guidance fostering a stoic discipline and relaxation, and a clear yet fuzzy vision of rebellion also exists it is anything and everything as well, it will also become nothing neutral coordinates on a radar chart balanced circular parameter,” said the label.
Expressing balance in design, the FW22 collection finds a median between form and function. Through altered silhouettes, paneling, layers and slits, styles are designed to envelop wearers for a sense of protection. Various wear patterns continue the overall theme of adaptability that ultimately fuels the FW22 outfitting from Fumito Ganryu.
