DESCENDANT and Nautica Japan have joined forces to bring a new yachting-themed capsule for the winter season. Based on comfort, the collection stays true to Nautica’s marine elements, the ethos of the brand since its inception.

According to designer Tetsu Nishiyama, the collection draws great inspiration from the sailing culture, taking the apparel essential from adventures at sea and combining it with comfort and streetwear style. The designs also see zigzag stitching, often used in the sewing of sails, transformed into details for the pieces. The collection features an oversized crewneck sweater in pine green with a co-branded Nautica and DESCENDANT crest on the chest, bringing back the ’90s emblematic designs. On the back is another rendition of the co-branding, which sees the Nautica geometric logo sit above the DESCENDANT name. In the same color, fans can also find a fleece-lined jacket and a long-sleeved rugby shirt. Those looking for more warmth in their pieces may like the navy hooded fleece sweater with deep purple and yellow accents. For the inner preppy boater, the nautical-themed white cap adds for a perfect accessory to round out the nautical look.

The collection is currently available online at DESECENDANT.
