Leslie Grace has given fans a first look at the Batgirl suit she will be wearing from her upcoming DC Comics film. Last July, HYPEBEAST reported Grace will be cast as the titular character in HBO Max‘s Batgirl origin story.

The actress posted to her social media a image of herself in the new suit captioned, “I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me. And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts.” Many fans were quick to notice that the inspiration behind the suit seems similar to the one in the Batgirl comics, specifically the Batgirl of Burnside issue created by comic book writers Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, Babs Tarr and Maris Wicks. The suit appears to have a deeper indigo tone and a gold cape, accompanied by a weapons belt and the Batgirl emblem on the chest.

Batgirl hits HBO Max in 2022 and will also star Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman, J.K. Simmons as the Commissioner James Gordon and Brendan Fraser as Garfield Lynns/Firefly.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Disney+ has shared another look at The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder featuring the original cast.
