Jordan Brand Gives the Air Jordan 5 a "Racer Blue" Makeover
Slated to drop on February 22.
Jordan Brand is set to release a new Air Jordan 5 in a “Racer Blue” colorway in line with its Spring 2022 Retro Collection. Announced back in December, the Jumpman will be debuting a total of 15 new modernized installments of Michael Jordan’s classics along with the revival of the Air Jordan 12 “Playoff.” The silhouette was last seen in a low-top variation sporting an “Arctic Pink” colorway which is slated to drop before the current model at hand.
This latest pair slightly recalls the OG “Black Metallic, as full suede uppers opt for an all-black construction with a translucent netting on the quarter panels while an Iron Gray shade details the eye stays. The “Racer Blue” hue hits the lace toggle, sockliner and Jumpman motif embroideries on the silver reflective tongue and heel cap. A vivid blue midsole is molded over a rubber outsole split into black and Icy Blue to complete the design.
Look out for the Air Jordan 5 in a “Racer Blue” to release on February 22 at select retails and Nike’s official website for $200 USD. Additionally, early pairs are available now at GOAT.
In case you missed it, pastel patent leather is highlighted on the Air Jordan 11 Low “Pure Violet.”
