norda’s 001 Built for the Toughest Conditions Arrives in New Colorways
Utilizing Dyneema® uppers and Vibram-assisted sole units.
Founded in 2022 by trail running marathon runners Nicholas and Willamina Martire alongside footwear designer Louis Martin Tremblay and Creative Director Gerar Cleal, Norda has made a name for itself with its hard-wearing footwear offerings.
Centered around the design philosophy of “toughest conditions bring out the best,” the Canadian brand explored Canada’s most extreme weather conditions to craft the world’s first seamless Dyneema® trail running sneaker. The “Norda 001” was crafted in partnership with renowned Bio-Science company DSM, the creator of the manmade lightweight textile with a tensile strength 15 times greater than high-quality steel.
The seamless Dyneema® upper of the Norda 001 possesses rip-stop, water-repelling and anti-UV ray capabilities while remaining 30% lighter than common nylon and polyester. Aside from 3M reflective detailing, the shoe features a secure foot lock system and Dyneema® shoelace system. Elevating the shoe are TPU anti-shock midsoles and Vibram Megagrip Litebase anti-slip outsoles with 10 5mm lugs for extra grip.
Aside from tonal black and white colorways, the Norda 001 is now also offered in “Black/Mud/Lime,” “Black/Orange/Bone,” a special “Cooper’s Hawk Edition” in collaboration with Ciele Athletics and “Ray Zahab” take.
