A Closer Look at Patta's Forthcoming "Monarch" Nike Air Max 1
As well the trailer for the pair’s feature film.

Nike and Patta have been dropping collaborative and sought-after Air Max 1s for years now. From “Cherrywood” and “Purple Denim,” to “Lucky Green” and a rumored “Aqua Noise” colorway earlier this year, the pair continue to hit the mark. For Fall/Winter 2021, the duo look to be reuniting.
Teased over the weekend on Instagram, Patta’s Edson Sabajo attended last weekend’s Sneakerness convention in what looked like the Amsterdam-based label’s latest Nike Air Max 1. Entitled the “Monarch” colorway, the sneaker is doused in pops of autumnal tones and houses a reworked mudguard — reminiscent of the Air Max 2 ‘94 — which boasts an embroidered Swoosh towards the front.
This image follows the trailer release of Patta’s upcoming film alongside Nike Air Max entitled The Wave. Directed by Mahaneela, with creative direction by Steve McQueen, the trailer features the likes of Martine Rose, Mo Farah and Little Simz, amongst others.
You can view the trailer below and here, while further information on release dates and the sneaker is expected in the coming weeks.
In other sneaker news, Nike’s Waffle One has been given a “Bred” treatment.
