Nike Blazer Mid "Sports Specialities" is Revealed in "Vast Grey"
An angelic ode to the snapback hats from the 90s era.
The 90s era was influential in so many different ways from the athletes of this time to the music to the fashion trends. And like many fashion and footwear labels do today, Nike is referencing this time period where snapbacks were popular and crafting a whole sneaker collection titled the “Sports Specialties” assemblage that honors this trend. After revealing its forthcoming Dunk High and Air Force 1 offerings, the assemblage is now welcoming in a Nike Blazer Mid “Vast Grey” colorway.
Textures and throw back branding are the highlights of these casual kicks. Corduroy materials makeup the Swooshes, overlays that are planted into the forefoot and toe boxes as well as the heels, all of which match the leather side walls in “Vast Grey.” Retro hoops-inspired branding is slapped onto the tongues and the heels, the former of which bears a “Chile Red” Nike logo and “Sports Specialties” spell out while the latter has “Basketball” and “Official Nike Merchandise” notations and a basketball icon. Foamy tongues usher in some slight contrasting as the exteriors are lined with a faded beige hue.
